When Volkswagen launched its original Golf GTi way back in 1976, a lot of hysteria was generated because the automobile maker had launched the phenomenon of ‘hot hatch’. There have been a lot of imitators over the years that have tried to recreate the magic of the GTi but have failed courtesy its distinctness and performance. All those who forgot what the Caparo T1 was, here is a recap. The car is a British rear wheel drive based on the mid-engine model with a two-seat built and is powered by the Caparo Vehicle Technologies. The founding partners of this vehicle were design directors Ben Scott and Graham Halstead. These were the same people responsible for the development of the McLaren F1. The Caparo T1 was considered to a street legal race car and was also affordable, a fact that instigated people to purchase the vehicle through a car loan.
