Volkswagen Up!: Is it going to be the new Beetle

Posted on February 19, 2009, under Latest News and Trends.

The conversation moved towards whether or not Volkswagen was going to bring out a new version of the Beetle in a strange way as a couple of friends and I sat around on a balmy sort of evening. One of our friends had recently taken a chattel mortgage on a new Toyota Land Cruiser and in between discussing the pros and the cons of the SUV and the car finance scheme he’d chosen, we were pretty much talked out for the evening. Scary and Nonsensical Car Accessories

Posted on February 17, 2009, under Accessories.

Come on now, we’re not being mean to the fine, upstanding individuals that think up concepts for accessories that help us out or make life just that little bit more entertaining or zany but this is just to put a question mark to all those crazy inventions that keep emerging from the toy stores of major automakers. We love ideas that turn into practical solutions like self-warming seats and high-end multimedia systems built into the car, but what about accessories that have the potential to turn your car into a four-wheeled tech disaster?

Look no further than the new General Motors left hand steering stalk that until the very recent past, had the cruise controls, in a tiny three-switch button affair that also houses the high-beam headlights, windshield wipers and the turning signals. See what I’m getting at? Make one wrong move and your car turns into high-speed cruising garbage truck with an attitude problem. (more…)

MR2 Toyotas masquerade as Ferraris

Posted on February 17, 2009, under Latest News and Trends.

Excitement was roaring; splitting the seams of the show as Top Gear Live kicked into high gear. The show was supposed to bring 3 top-of-the-pile Ferrari 360 spiders to do some nail biting, scram – inducing, wheel gymnastics across the Acer Arena. The auto-crazy spectators being dazzled by the sight of three Ferraris crisscrossing wild turns and wheelies around the Arena didn’t have the slightest clues that the three Spiders dancing around the stadium were not actual, bona-fide black horses painted upon yellow. 2009 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Coupe

Posted on February 12, 2009, under Car Reviews.

Car finance customers who have ever wished that Aston Martin would one day launch its cheapest, smallest and still the most enduring car around, then this year the Tooth Fairy came early. The V8 Vantage Coupe is the model with the highest volume that has been launched so far. The makers have launched such a model to vehemently compete with the Porsche 911, The Audi R8, The Carrera S, The BMW M6 and The Mercedes SL550. The hallmark about the car is that it still manages to stand out from all of them and appear as the showstopper. Lighter than the M6 and more dexterous than the SL, the V8 exemplifies panache coupled with elegance something that is unlike the macho R8 and the hardcore 911. The vehicle is priced at around $110,000 and gives potential buyers a chance to hound banks and financial institutions for car loans, auto loans and car finance. Chattel mortgage and hire purchase also seems to be a fine option if vehicle is being used for business purposes. (more…)

Small cars get their day in the sun

Posted on February 10, 2009, under Car Financing.

With talk of economies collapsing under the weight of the financial crunch doing the rounds, people have become quite cautious about before splurging on expensive automobiles. Interestingly, the automobile industry has shown the fortitude to turn this grim prospect into a sunny situation by cashing in on this scepticism and reluctance and is launching small cars in abundance. This trend is not limited to the rest of the world as it has also found followers in Australia; small cars are finally being seen as a sensible option instead of being professed as the poor cousin of a coupe or a sedan. It is a Good Time to be a Toyota: Toyota Sales Defy Global Trends

Posted on February 9, 2009, under Car Financing.

One of the largest auto makers in the world has not been dethroned from its position despite the melting economies. Toyota continues to do what it is best known for and that is producing cars. Even as economies are sinking and auto-makers are whining about the low sales, Toyota is yet to see tough times as the loyalists are going in for car credit and car loans to purchase a Toyota. Car loans are being easily made available for those who have a preference for Toyota cars because of the brand’s equity in the market and also its sustainability during such a tough financial epoch. For those yearning to buy a Toyota car, it becomes imperative to maintain good car credit as the ones with an awful car credit rating might not be able to get a car loan in today’s environment. Is now a good time to buy a car?

Posted on February 4, 2009, under About Me.

The answer is – YES.

Our personal opinion at Quantum Finance Solutions is that now is a great time to buy a vehicle. Furthermore, we believe that over the next coming months car prices will plunge further than what they already have and car finance will also become cheaper overall.  All indications show that prices will continue to drop for the most part of 2009. Apart from vehicle prices dropping, interest rates have dropped over the last couple of months and with the economic slowdown showing no improvement, we will most probably see further interest rate cuts in the New Year.
