Posted on September 29, 2009, under Car Financing.
Stepping off the lot of a dealership or backing out of the driveway of an individual seller in a new car is a great experience, but the financial complications of obtaining a new vehicle can sometimes diminish the fun and excitement of taking off in a new car. Fortunately, vehicle finance brokers exist to help individuals and businesses understand the world of vehicle finance and provide counsel and assistance throughout the process of securing and completing a loan or financing package. While nearly all car brokers will attest to having their clients’ best interests and budgets at the forefront of their considerations, not all brokers operate with equal measures of integrity, service, and skill. That’s why it’s of vital importance to investigate a potential broker as you would any other professional; in the end, you’ll find that this crucial step is well worth the minimal time involvement. Just the other day I was accompanying a friend to check out some cars at the local dealership prior to submitting the final documentation for his car loan and we came across this gleaming white Jaguar XF. Vital Questions to Pose When Discussing Car Finance
Posted on February 20, 2009, under Car Financing.
This has been the theme of a lot of my posts recently, but I really can’t stress the importance of doing your homework before you go out to buy a car. I see people around me making mistakes like not taking the trouble of comparing prices or asking questions or just getting so dazzled with the fact that it is their first car or new car. Here are some questions that you must ask when discussing car finance. Write them down or print them out before going to the dealer. Make sure you get answers to these questions that you fully understand. If anything is vague or confusing, walk away and come back after you’ve had time to think about it. If the sales or finance person makes a claim you think is too good to be true, have them write it on the finance contract and get a manager to sign off. (more…)
