Do you consider a hybrid car worthy of headlining an event?

Posted on February 26, 2009, under Latest News and Trends.

The main focus on the motor show happening in Melbourne this week will be on vehicles that are considered to be highly environmental friendly. Environmentally secure cars have always been in demand with people who apply for car finance, car credit and car loans to buy one, so it might not come as a surprise this time when people are ready with a car loan to buy the best hybrid vehicle. The first automotive company to jump into the fray is Toyota that has unveiled the Camry hybrid. The concept car is touted to be tough competition for the Holden as well as Ford. It is expected to be highly fuel efficient. (more…)

Any buyers for the car touted to be the ugliest?

Posted on February 25, 2009, under Latest News and Trends.

The bizarre vehicle was built way back in the 1950’s and gives a look as if it has been inflated through the help of a bicycle pump and then left at the mercy of the sun to melt. The body of the car seems to be as if it is a result of an after train smash and is covered with convex swoops, concave swerves and ungainly overhangs. Now with the vehicle being in such a disastrous state, it comes across as a doubt whether someone would really buy a vehicle even with a car loan or even think of applying for car credit, car finance or any sort of car loans. The fact that the vehicle broke down during its own launch justifies its unsightliness. The steel and the glass used on the vehicle demonstrate the ugliness. (more…)

Volkswagen Up!: Is it going to be the new Beetle

Posted on February 19, 2009, under Latest News and Trends.

The conversation moved towards whether or not Volkswagen was going to bring out a new version of the Beetle in a strange way as a couple of friends and I sat around on a balmy sort of evening. One of our friends had recently taken a chattel mortgage on a new Toyota Land Cruiser and in between discussing the pros and the cons of the SUV and the car finance scheme he’d chosen, we were pretty much talked out for the evening. MR2 Toyotas masquerade as Ferraris

Posted on February 17, 2009, under Latest News and Trends.

Excitement was roaring; splitting the seams of the show as Top Gear Live kicked into high gear. The show was supposed to bring 3 top-of-the-pile Ferrari 360 spiders to do some nail biting, scram – inducing, wheel gymnastics across the Acer Arena. The auto-crazy spectators being dazzled by the sight of three Ferraris crisscrossing wild turns and wheelies around the Arena didn’t have the slightest clues that the three Spiders dancing around the stadium were not actual, bona-fide black horses painted upon yellow. A Lesson in Shilling: Cars and Movies

Posted on February 16, 2009, under Latest News and Trends.

Alright, it’s imagination time! Today we are thinking about cars in movies, don’t we love them. Sleek, lines cut sharp as blades, shining, shimmering cars that make you drool….that’s show biz wheels for you. Cars that have you rushing out the door and racing to the first car dealership, looking for the car finance guy who can show the way to own that beauty on wheels.

I don’t know if you ever think about the cars in certain movies, not think about them in the sense that you can’t think of anything but the car at all times, but think why this particular car and nothing else was used for this movie. (more…)

Are SUVs in Australia headed towards Heartbreak Hotel?

Posted on February 15, 2009, under Latest News and Trends.

Five years ago, if someone told me I’d be writing about how Australians no longer want to put their money on, much less take up a car loan for an SUV, I’d laugh till I died….no really, I would. Now, I’m not so sure. Looking at the state of the auto industry, worldwide and not just in Australia (though the world auto markets seem to be developing a parallel effect upon our auto industry, from car make choices right down to how we are paying for our cars.)
