A Sneak Peak into Shell and Ferrari at the Australian F1 Grand Prix

The experience of taking a peek at the pit garage of one of the world’s most successful teams, Ferrari was a different experience altogether. This happened during the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix that took place in Melbourne. The way the cars were placed in a fleet was ascertaining the fact that they would certainly not have been bought through a car loan. The Tata Prima

Italian automaker Pininfarina had a card up its sleeve this year at the Geneva Motor Show. It did not unveil an innovation of its own, but collaborated with Tata to display the Prima. The car will be called as the Tata Prima and the concept of the luxury sedan is supposedly the first in the merger that has taken place between Tata and Pininfarina. The concept has been designed keeping the Tata Indigo in mind, which was the first sedan in India. The Prima has also indicated about the designs of the future sedans that will be launched by Tata. Fiat weds Chrysler and Aston celebrates birthday with a bang!

It’s wedding season for two auto giants separated by the Atlantic. Fiat and Chrysler joined hands in what could be a ground changing partnership for the car market worldwide. The two super car companies have decided to embark upon a knowledge and expertise sharing journey that is touted to be (hopefully) very profitable for both players. As a consequence of the alliance, the US markets will get their first taste of homegrown Fiats. Speedy and sleek hatchbacks and mid-sized cars from Fiat have led more people to car finance agents for car loans and employees to their bosses for novated leasing and chattel mortgage than can be counted. The Toyota Motor Corporation created hysteria when the Lexus was launched in the international market in the year 1989. The hysteria was further widened when the RX model of the Lexus was made available for purchase in 1998. Since then, the RX has only witnessed its units being sold comprehensively in Australia. Such has been the popularity of the RX that people have hounded banks for car credit, car loans and car finance and have been buying the model through a car loan like candy is sold on the street. They never learn, do they?  Car dealership owners in the United States seem to have the market covered on the best Don’t-try-this-at-home schemes to get rich or get arrested trying.  A Nebraska car dealer and three of his executives are facing theft charges after 81 cars were taken from his dealership.  Police were alerted to the theft when employees arrived at the dealership and found a considerable discrepancy in the dealership stock along with one boss and three of his executives missing along with a couple of computers.  The flustered employees alerted the Toyota head office immediately.    (more…)

A personal account of the Melbourne International Motor Show

When one takes the stairs to the Motor Show happening at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, not many expectations come as a part of the baggage because of the uncertainty of anticipation. I personally felt that I would be outnumbered when it came to gender stakes and also had apprehensions about my ego taking a big thrashing when I would see all the exotic cars on display. Sometimes, you just fail to cope up with the mysticism in the vehicles. Now I did not have a car loan with me and I thought people would come there prepared with car credit, car finance and car loans in their kitty all ready to book their favorite model. Also, the fear of understanding the speeches also kept bothering me. (more…)

A review was carried out by AutoWeek regarding the fastest wheels that are to be launched in the year 2009. Heading the list is the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 that has the potential to produce a speed from 0 to 60 mph within a time period of 2.6 seconds. The base price has been kept at $1.5 million. The amount might seem to be a little expensive, but the reviews say that you will get value for money even if you buy it through a car loan.
