Letting go of the Opel: General Motors

Parting with an old ally is the bitter decision that General Motors Corporation has come up with. It has been reported that the automaker will be parting ways with Opel/Vauxhall and will be giving up its controlling stake in the firm. This is being done as a strategic decision to bring the company out of recession. General Motors is on a mission these days. Ever since it got the restructuring deadline of June 1, there have been a lot of changes that can be seen in administration of GM and the way it has decided to progress further. The automaker is planning to call off the GMC and Pontiac brands in order to cut costs and save the company from going to the cleaners. The case studies for the two deals are being scanned with thorough precision and talks with the Obama government are on so that General Motors can be taken out of the shadows of Bankruptcy and can be made into the same brand that it was earlier. The makers of the iconic AC 427 Cobra have come out with another masterpiece. The Britain based AC Cars have made the next big lightweight race car public. Called the Cobra MkVI, the vehicle is said to house fantastic sporting gullwing doors. The agency behind these doors is Gullwing GmbH, the iconic German accessory maker. This latest sensation will have the same target audience that has aggressively pursued the Cobra and the Cobra kit car. So you can perhaps expect car credit, car loans and car finance being arranged for enthusiastically and that the car loan would become a commonality when the new showpiece from AC cars goes public.
