Magic Mazda

Posted on April 9, 2009, under Latest News and Trends.

If you remember, a couple of days ago, I wrote a post discussing the recent surge in US financial markets following the London Summit of the G20.  I had written that this might ne a sign of things to come, that we were finally beginning to see some improvement in the state of the markets worldwide and this upward trend would reflect somewhere in the auto industry as well.  Well, I don’t want to brag but a bit of what i had said has come true, albeit in a small way.

According a news story reported by The Daily Telegraph, mazda which is one of the leading australian car companies has claimed that it sees a return to the one million new car sales mark by the end of this year.  The confidence shown by the top bosses at Mazda will be I hope like a shot in the arm for an ailing auto industry across the globe.  Mazda launched their latest version of australia’s most popular small car – the Mazda 3.

unlike other companies Mazda is taking the bull by the horns.  Accoprding to Doug Dickson who is the head at Mazda Australia, the situation might be grim but its not yet time to pack up and leave.  That’s the kind of stuff we want to hear!

The Mazda 3 was launched this week and it is a fine car.  Launched first in 2004, the Mazda 3 has sold more than 2,000,000 cars worldwide, and of those 164, 000 can be accounted for in Australia alone which is the reason that the company has enjoyed such solid popularity in Australia.  The new mazda is a little larger and more fuel efficient than the previous versions, it boasts of a fuel efficiency of 7.9L/100 km to 8.6L/100 km across the range, along with a minor change to the front grille to accomodate better air flow and somple design changes have been incorporated but nothing that obstructs the original design of the car and its profile.

Forward Ho! Mazda.
