The experience of taking a peek at the pit garage of one of the world’s most successful teams, Ferrari was a different experience altogether. This happened during the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix that took place in Melbourne. Rolls Royce dons the V12 engine

The 200EX concept car that will be launched by Rolls Royce was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show. The car is said to be powered by the V12 engine that is turbocharged and has a capacity of 6.6 liters. It comes as a part of the package of the gasoline engines which also includes the turbocharged 4.4 liter V8 engine that is used in the BMW 7-series cars. Post the installation of the V12 engine, the Rolls Royce will be manufacturing 553 lb-ft torque instead of the 442 lb-ft torque that was mentioned by the V8 engine. The 6.7 liter V12 engine that is installed in the Phantom delivers around 460 hp and 531 lb-ft torque. So, the change that the V12 engine would bring is clearly visible. (more…)
