Even car finance agents don’t hesitate in bombarding almost everyone with information about the various vehicle finance schemes and chattel mortgage options various car finance companies are providing, even to people who have a history of bad car credit.Hybrids are synonymous with fuel efficiency, which is what they thrive upon. The common buzzword about these hybrid vehicles is that they are a true definition of eco-friendly and talk is that you can use the money you save on gas to go buy a plasma screen. The main focus on the motor show happening in Melbourne this week will be on vehicles that are considered to be highly environmental friendly. Environmentally secure cars have always been in demand with people who apply for car finance, car credit and car loans to buy one, so it might not come as a surprise this time when people are ready with a car loan to buy the best hybrid vehicle. Any buyers for the car touted to be the ugliest?
Posted on February 25, 2009, under Latest News and Trends.
The bizarre vehicle was built way back in the 1950’s and gives a look as if it has been inflated through the help of a bicycle pump and then left at the mercy of the sun to melt. The body of the car seems to be as if it is a result of an after train smash and is covered with convex swoops, concave swerves and ungainly overhangs. Now with the vehicle being in such a disastrous state, it comes across as a doubt whether someone would really buy a vehicle even with a car loan or even think of applying for car credit, car finance or any sort of car loans. The fact that the vehicle broke down during its own launch justifies its unsightliness. The steel and the glass used on the vehicle demonstrate the ugliness. (more…)

How a lender handles a customer who cannot make payments (also known as a customer in “default”) depends on the customer’s payment history and the policies of that financial institution. A customer in default should expect to be contacted by the lender via phone call or letter within 30 days of non-payment. (more…)
What to do when you can’t make your car payment?
Posted on February 25, 2009, under Car Financing.
Maybe your personal finances have just taken a nosedive, or maybe you’re apprehensive that they soon could. Whatever the reason — layoff, stock market, business losses — you now find yourself saddled with a monthly car payment you can’t afford. Your sweet ride is fast becoming a quicksand you can’t escape from. What do you do?
First thing to do is to contact your car finance lender. A lender will do whatever they can to keep you as a customer.
Many people don’t realize that it’s far better to work with the lenders than to avoid them. Ask the lender what you owe on the car (the payoff amount) and compare it to the car’s True Market Value. Depending on how many payments you’ve already made on the car, the TMV may be higher than what you owe, in which case you can sell the car to pay off the loan. (more…)
Using the fine print to your advantage
Posted on February 25, 2009, under Car Financing.
The fine print is not going to disappear; you are just going to need to be one step ahead of it. Here’s how.
1. Take the ad with you to the dealership. That way the dealer can’t forget part of it or change part of it.
2. Study advertised rebates and discount financing deals carefully. Get out a magnifying glass and you’ll probably find the words “with approved credit” or “on approved credit.” Some ads simply list “WAC” or “OAC.” (more…)
